Martin Fleischmann joins UDL

We are thrilled to announce that Dr Martin Fleischmann has joined UDL as part of the management leading data and analytics. Martin is well known in the open source community and the academic world for his deep expertise in geodata engineering, geographic data science, and, most importantly, the urban morphology. He published multiple peer reviewed papers in this domain and also developed a bespoke morphometric Python package - #momepy (http://docs.momepy.org). In addition, many know him as one of the maintainers of #GeoPandas # #python #datascience #opensource (https://lnkd.in/dGkNhUP) and related packages, a critical component of any geospatial analysis in Python. The urban morphology has always been at the core of UDL - our founder Patrick Schirmer developed his own metrics during his time at ETH that we use during our analysis. During the last 6 months we started a collaboration with Martin and developed plans to joining forces. We are excited that this has now come true and that he can bring all this expertise to UDL!
